I’ve been on a NIN deep dive the past few days, because Trent interested me and I was curious who he really is as a person. I’ve come to the conclusion that he’s kind of a dick, and not really the tortured soul he’s always seen to be. He’s certainly gone through dark periods, but overall he seems to be a highly ambitious workaholic who has always consciously crafted an image. What some might call a type-A “control freak”, especially when it comes to his art and live performances. I don’t even necessarily think this is bad or good, just interesting to learn. He wouldn’t have this level of success without ambition and hard work. But from what I’ve gathered reading about his career and accounts from people he’s worked with, he seems to be a lot different than what I’d assumed over the years.

Well, things has changed, huh? Now he can nowhere be seen without Atticus Ross? Almost as they are a married couple.

I remember hearing and seeing him being called a genius. At first I didn't see the hype. Then I really started listening and now I see it/hear it.
